ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA Government and private universities, government institutions, and private engineering institutes all offer MCA courses in West Bengal. West Bengal's MCA program admissions are controlled by state government laws and qualifying standards. In order to be considered for admission to the MCA program through WB JECA, students must make sure they meet all requirements before completing the application. The qualifying requirements include the minimum age requirement for those hoping to compete in the WB JECA and the educational requirements. The qualifying requirements that students for the exam are listed below- The candidate needs to be a citizen of India. Applicants must be West Bengali citizens. Age restrictions do not apply. The following criteria for educational qualification Module 1- Applicants must have successfully completed a three-year bachelor's program at a UGC-accredited university. At least 60% in Honors or Aggregate (45% for SC/ST applicants) should have been earned ORIn order to be considered, candidates must have completed a Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) from a college or institute approved by the All-India Institute of Common Entrance Examination (AICTE), with 60% of the coursework being completed in mathematics. Module 2- They must hold a three-year bachelor's degree approved by the UGC and/or AICTE, with the exception of BBAs that require graduate-level or 10+2 mathematics. obtained 50% of the possible points at the graduation level (45% for SC/ST/OBA-A/OBC-B candidates). Module 3- Candidates must be graduates or hold an equivalent degree under the 10+2+3 pattern from a university or institute recognized by the UGC or AICTE in any discipline. Every educational level requires mathematics to be taken by candidates. At each educational level, candidates must have received 60% (45% for SC/ST/OBC-A/O>BC-B candidates) of the possible points. Module 4- Candidates must have graduated with a BSc Honors degree in any discipline under the 10+2+3 pattern from a university or institute recognized by the UGC with a minimum of 60% aggregate (45% for candidates from SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B), and a minimum of 55% in mathematics. A minimum of 60% in Secondary and Higher Secondary, or an equivalent level, must be obtained from accredited Boards, with a minimum of 60% in Mathematics at each level. applicants must receive 60% (45% for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B applicants) at every educational level. EXAM PATTERN The right response in Section A will receive one mark under the new exam format, whereas the right answer in Section B will receive two marks apiece. There will be a deduction of 1/4 mark (0.25) for each incorrect response. The WB JECA 2024 exam design has undergone considerable modifications by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. The WB JECA 2024 exam will last two hours and consist of one hundred questions in total, according to the revised exam format. There will be two portions to the question paper: Section A will have 80 questions overall with one mark each, and Section B will have 20 questions total with two marks each.
