Govt College Of Pharmacy Rohru

The government college of Pharmacy was established in the year 2005 at Rohru, Distt. Shimla. The college offers four year B. Pharm. course since its inception. It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi & Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi and affiliated to H P Technical University (HPTU), Hamirpur.

The college is first Pharmacy College in Himachal and the only government college in the state.

The college was established in order to impart technical education in the area of pharmacy to Himachali aspirants especially those who belong to remote rural areas keeping in view the immense employment scope in various sectors like academics, administration and pharmaceutical industry. The foundation stone of the college was laid by Sh.

Virbhadra Singh, Hon’ble Chief Minister of the state on 6th September 2006. The current strength of students in the college is about 175 with a sanctioned intake of 40 students. The institute is experiencing a fast academic growth and imparts quality based pharmacy education.

The success of the college is amply reflected by the results and excellent placement record.
