Joint Entrance Examination – Advanced
The second phase of the IIT, JEE, JEE Advanced (previously called as IIT JEE), is typically held following the JEE Main exam. Aspiring engineers take this test in order to be admitted to prestigious engineering colleges like IITs. Seven IITs (IIT Kharagpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi and IIT Guwahati) alternately administer the computer-based JEE Advanced exam. IIT Guwahati conducted the JEE Advanced 2023 on 4 th of June, 2023. ELIGIBILITY NATIONALITY- The JEE Advanced exam is open to students who are citizens of India, Person of Indian origin, overseas citizens of India and foreign nationals. Foreign nationals must fulfill certain requirements. AGE CRITERIA- Applicants may apply if they were born on October 1, 1998, or later. Candidates who fall under the reserved category are eligible for a five-year relaxation. Therefore, candidates must have been born on October 1, 1993, or later. Note that, Not matter if they passed the qualifying exam, candidate is allowed to appear and write the exam twice in a span of two years. Candidates must place among the top 2,50,000 across all categories of JEE Main winners in order to be eligible for JEE Advanced. When ranks or scores in any category are “tied,” the total number of candidates may also exceed 2,50,000. FOREIGN CANDIDATES The authorities have outlined distinct qualifying requirement for candidates who are foreign nationals. Candidates who are not citizens of India or whose parents are not Indian citizens and do not fall under the OCI or PIO categories are regarded as foreign nationals, according to the information contained in the official documents. As instructed by the Indian government, foreign nationals are not eligible for any kind of seat reservation. Candidates from other countries who have studied abroad at the 10+2 level or its equivalent at the time of registering for JEE (Advanced) 2023 are exempt from taking the JEE (Main) 2023 exam and may register for JEE (Advanced) 2023 directly, provided they meet all other eligibility requirements. Foreign national candidates must take the JEE (Main) 2023 exam in order to be eligible for the OPEN category of JEE (Advanced) 2023. These candidates must have completed or are presently pursuing their 10+2-degree level education in India. A citizenship certificate or passport is required as identification for the candidate's parents. Regarding seat availability, foreign nationals are limited to 10% of the total number of seats in each course.
The National Testing Agency administers the computer-based JEE Main exam online each year to applicants hoping to enroll in undergraduate programs at India’s top engineering universities. There are two papers in JEE Nain 2024: Paper 1 and 2. The first paper (Paper 1) is intended for candidates who want to study undergraduate engineering programs (B.E/B.Tech.) at NITs, IITs, other centrally funded Technically Institutions (CFTIs), and universities funded or acknowledge by state governments that participate. The second paper is intended for candidates who want to enroll in B.Arch. and B.planning courses. Qualification Examination- Any authorized Central or State Board’s 10+12 exam must have been passed by the candidates. Several reputable boards are council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, located in New Delhi, and Central Board of Secondary Education located in New Delhi. National Institute of Open Schooling- candidate must pass the National institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) senior secondary exam in the top five subjects, which are physics, chemistry, mathematics and other related subjects, in order to be eligible. B.Arch./ B.Planning programs- in order to be considered for admission to the B.Arch. or B. Planning programs applicants must have passed the senior secondary examination in any combination of language, Physical, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics (which is required) and technical vocational subjects. B.E./ B.Tech programs- candidates must have passed the senior secondary examination in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subjects, and any other subjects in order to be admitted to B.E./B.Tech programs. Noted that, candidates must present a certificate from the Association of India Universities (AIU) stating that the examination they passed is equivalent to the class 12 examination if they have passed the class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside of the India or have failed the class 12 or equivalent to it, examination from any recognized Center or State Board of India.

Kerala, Mumbai, New Delhi, Dubai and Kerala Engineering , Architecture and Medical admission Exam (KEAM) is an admission exam. The Central and state Government have approved the CBT entrance exam for admission to engineering programs at different colleges in Kerala. Candidates who passed or appeared in the 10+2 exam and want to enroll in undergraduate engineering programs at accredited universities are eligible to take the KEAM test. There are two papers in the exam; Paper 1: comprises questions on Chemistry and Physics. Paper 2: it has questions on mathematics. Applicants should study for the test by adhering to the Math, Physics and Chemistry curriculum at 10+2 level. It is significant to remember that KEAM is not required for enrollment in undergraduate programs in medicine, Veterinary, medicine, forestry, fishery, architecture or pharmacy. But in order to participate in KEAM counselling (CAP), candidates must complete the KEAM application form 2024 and present with their corresponding national entrance exam result.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering
An exam known as the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is administered to candidates seeking admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other colleges and universities throughout India for Master of Engineering (ME), Masters in Technology (MTech), and direct PhD programs. Additionally, it provides entry to flourishing research and public sector enterprises (PSUs). ONGC, NTPC, GAIL, HPCL, PGCIL, BHEL, BSNL, NHPC, BARC, DRDO, and other PSUs and research organizations are among those that use GATE scores to offer employment. The GATE Committee, which consists of faculty members from IISc, Bangalore, and the other seven IITs, administers and conducts the GATE examination nationwide in eight zones on behalf of the National Coordinating Board, Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development.
