Govt Girls College Betul M P

Welcome to Govt. Girl's College Betul (M.P.), Betul is situated at the central point of India, at the height of 365 metres above the sea level. Betul holds the prestigious position of being the originating place of holy river Tapti,("Suryaputri"). Predominantly, a tribal district, Betul is surrounded by beautiful mountain ranges of Satputa.

The area of the district is 10043 Sq. Km. According to the census report of 2001 the literacy rate of the district is 66.4% wherein the male literacy rate is 76.8% and female 55.6%. The total population of the district is 13,95,175 out of which 10.6% are people belonging to Schedule Caste and 39.4% belonging to Schedule Tribe.

To provide higher education to girl's the college was established in september 1986. After completing nine years of its academic journey in a rented building, it was shifted to its newly constructed building on 16th june 1995. Initially, the college was affiliated to Dr. H.S. Gour university, Sagar.

Since 1995 it is affiliated to Barkatullah university. This college has a beautiful campus with all facilities required for smooth running of the College.
