Noorul Islam Centre For Higher Education

Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education-Noorul Islam University (NIUNIV), Kanyakumari comprises of Noorul Islam College of Engineering as its constituent teaching unit, has been declared as a deemed-to-be-university by Ministry of Human Resource, government of India under section 3 of UGC act, 1956.

The University is run by Noorul Islam Center for Higher Education (NICHE) Society with Janab Dr.A.P.Majeed Khan as president of the Society, NISCE and the Chancellor of the university, NIU.

Noorul Islam College of Engineering, the constituent teaching unit of Noorul Islam University, was established in 1989-90, with the approval of All India Council for Technical Education and started offering engineering courses with 40 students in each course.

The Noorul Islam College of Engineering, now having attained the status of University, its responsibilities have become manifold and vision broadened and mission lengthened.
