Saitama Prefectural University

Saitama Prefectural University (SPU) has been making progress so as to bring up the individuals who can contribute to the society as a professional of health and social services.

SPU’s curricula significantly contain interprofessional courses that enable students to learn about the basics of the interdisciplinary approach with the students of other departments. We have held the courses with cooperation of many hospitals and institutions in the prefecture.

One of the courses is “Field Activities,” which is a joint practicum required for the first-year students of the five departments. Another course is “Interprofessional Work” for fourth-year students
