The Assembly of Presbyterian Churches held in South Korea on May 25, 1982, appointed to the family of Dr. Eun Shil Chung as missionaries in Bolivia, leading to his arrival in the country on 13 June 1982.

207, granting legal status to the Christian University of Bolivia, starting its academic activities in -a first stage- with racing agronomy, computer science, English and theology. Then as of May 10, 1991, Ministerial Resolution No. 565 authorizing definitively the operation of the Christian University of Bolivia is issued.

It was created to meet the emerging demand for professional training of our human resources in health sciences. In fact it was the first college to open a medical career in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, in circumstances that many of our young people should move to universities inside and outside the country to continue their professional studies.
